Client & Trainer Agreement

At Coastal Edge Fitness, we aim to create a clear, respectful partnership between trainer and client. The following agreement outlines what both parties can expect in order to achieve the best possible results from your training.

Our Commitment to You

  • Your trainer will design a personalised training plan based on your goals, current fitness level, and preferences.
  • We will provide coaching, encouragement, expert supervision, and regular progress reviews. Your programme will evolve as you do.
  • All training equipment will be supplied, and sessions will be held at our private gym, your home, or an agreed outdoor location.
  • Your personal details and health information will remain confidential at all times. If we need medical clearance from a healthcare professional, it is your responsibility to obtain it.

Your Commitment to the Process

  • We ask all clients to commit fully to their training programme and give their best effort each session.
  • Please aim to arrive 5 minutes early so we can start promptly and make full use of your session time.
  • Wear suitable, non-restrictive workout clothing and supportive footwear to ensure safety and comfort throughout the session.

Personal Training Terms & Conditions

Health Screening

  • All clients must complete a PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) before beginning any sessions.
  • In some cases, your trainer may ask for written medical clearance from your GP. Any fees charged for this are your responsibility.

Cancellation Policy

  • We require at least 48 hours’ notice for all cancellations.
  • If you cancel between 24–48 hours before your session, 50% of the fee is payable.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

Lateness Policy

  • If you arrive late, your session will finish at the originally scheduled time.
  • If your trainer is running late, that time will be added to your session or made up at a future session.

Fee & Payment Policy

Coastal Edge Fitness – Payment Terms for Personal Training Sessions

To keep bookings clear and consistent, the following payment terms apply to all personal training and coaching services:

  • Single sessions require a 25% deposit to be paid in advance via bank transfer. The remaining balance is payable on the day of the session, by cash or bank transfer.
  • Block bookings must be paid for in full in advance. While sessions can be scheduled flexibly, all sessions must be used within 90 days of purchase.
  • All payments are non-refundable, so please book only if you are confident you can commit to the timeframe.
  • Payment details will be provided during booking.

Disclaimer: Health, Safety & Personal Responsibility

By booking and attending any session with Coastal Edge Fitness, you confirm that you are in good physical health and capable of participating in exercise. We will reasonably assume that you are medically fit to engage in personal training unless informed otherwise.

If you have any existing medical conditions, injuries, or are returning from illness, you must inform us before training begins. In some cases, we may request a letter from your GP or relevant medical professional confirming that it is safe for you to participate in physical activity.

You participate in all sessions at your own risk. While we take every reasonable step to ensure your safety, Coastal Edge Fitness accepts no liability for injury, illness, or death resulting from your participation in training, except where caused by proven negligence. We also accept no responsibility for incidents arising from circumstances beyond our control.
